Okay so here we go....
New Years Eve and I'm staying home. Sitting at the kitchen table with my little brother busy sewing the Bailley Bunnies.
This time i have taken to making them out of paper, paper which i have already had school of children draw on me for (most of the pictures are frigging awesome). The purpose of this is my print project. Which to anyone who knows me has been bothering me no end!! The idea is repetition so I'm making at (least 50) rabbits to display together, yet I'm not sure how....
Each Bunny will have its own name tag, which will have the name of a child that someone lost, also the dates of their birth/deaths.
Some people may find this a little morbid but it is very important to mothers to feel as though their lost children are not forgotten about, and unfortunately as humans we have tendency to forget our friends and sisters as time goes on. the truth is for most who go through this, time will pass and life will go on, but the pain still lives within, raising its head every now and again to remind you why you are a human being. because even though loved ones pass., its in our ability to love them eternally.
So I bring in a new year sitting at my work desk, but i am content to work my way through this night doing something that has made so many people smile. and it is that, as an artist which interests me. and it is what i want my work to do until the day i die.
